Tarald has spent most of his time over the last 12 years working on the nanosyntax of class prefixes and agreement markers in Southern Bantu. More recently, he has also been looking at nanosyntactic issues in the nominal system in Romanian and Portuguese as well as aspects of the verbal paradigms in Portuguese and Italian. Currently, he is exploring the morphosyntax of past participles in Germanic.
